ASHLEY FALSNES
Owner & Director

Ashley earned her Bachelor of the Arts degree, majoring in both Communications and Theatre Arts, from The University of Arizona in 2003. She then earned her Masters of the Arts and Cross Cultural Communications degree from National University in 2007. She also obtained her Multiple Subjects teaching credential in 2007. Ashley has worked with children for over twenty years through camps, volunteer programs, coaching, tutoring, and teaching! She has a background in Education, a love for the Arts, and a talent for working with children! Her goal is to positively influence children who attend The Art Camp with her originality, sparkle, and creativity! This will be Ashley’s 13th summer as Camp Director & her 4th summer as Camp Owner!




JENN SOLOMON
Director of Staff Development

Jenn Solomon earned her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Chapman University in 2017, and is currently a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Conejo Valley school district. In 2015, she also obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Redlands in Communication Disorders. Jenn has worked with kids and teens ages 2-18 in both summer camp and academic settings. This will be Jenn's 8th summer at Art Camp. She has worked as a Camp Counselor with every age level: Art Camp 101, Upper Camp and Teen Camp. She is so excited to return for her 4th summer as Art Camp's JCIT, CIT & Cam Counselor Director! Jenn is committed to creating a positive, fun learning environment for all of our amazing staff members!




KAITLYN BETTERTON
Director of Operations

Kaitlyn earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Liberal Studies, from California State University Channel Islands in 2011. She then went on to obtain her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2013 and Master of Education Degree from California Lutheran University in 2015. She currently teaches 5th grade for the Pleasant Valley School District, where she has worked for the past 6 years. Kaitlyn has always had a passion for working with kids of all ages, and has spend the past several summers teaching STEAM classes, LEGO Robotics and Bot Coding for 1st- 3rd graders at PVSD's youth arts & academic enrichment summer program. Kaitlyn is so exctied to return to the Art Camp Director Team as the Office Manager!





SKYLER COLANGELO
Assitant Director

This will be Skyler’s 13th year being a part of the art camp family. She went from camper, to JCIT, to camp counselor, to teacher... and she is so excited to step in to her new Director Role.! Throughout her life, she has constantly attended art classes, and then began expanding her love for art by learning on her own. Skyler is a fan most of oil painting, but also enjoys sketching and acrylic painting. She attends Moorpark College and is studying to become an Elementary School Lead Teacher. Skyler has taught at Thanksgiving Camp, Winter Camp, Spring Break Camp and Summer Camp!!!

She loves Art Camp and can't wait to see all the campers this summer!




KIM GOOLEY
Assistant Director of Staff Development

Kim Gooley earned her Bachelors in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Northridge. And, she currently is a school-based Behavioral Therapist here in the San Fernando Valley.

Kim Gooley has been working with children of all ages for over eight years. She has preschool teaching experience, working in the three-year-old program and the five-year-old program from 2010 - 2013. She was an assistant teacher for First Grade for two years and Fifth Grade for one year from 2013 - 2016. Kim also has nine years of summer camp experience as a counselor and teacher from 2010 - 2019! Kim spent last summer (2019) as the movement/gym teacher for camp 101, here at Art Camp!

Kim is looking forward to stepping into an Assistant Director role this summer and working with our amazing staff of JCITs, CITs, Counselors and Teachers!




DAVID WOHLSTADTER
Founder; "The Big Cheese"

David earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in 1975. His vision of starting a series of comprehensive summer art programs for young children began many years ago when he saw a need for an alternative to traditional summer day camp programs. He brings his creativity, enthusiasm and love of children to each program he has created.
